Usages de la particule "voilà" dans une réunion de travail : analyse multimodale

This study of the discourse particle voilà in an architects meeting relies on the analysis of the participants' verbal, gestural and graphic activities. It is based on a video recording. The various semiotic resources resorted to by the participants are taken into account, in addition to the temporal organization of their talk, and its interactive management, which has proved tightly linked to the use of discourse particles.Three usages of voilà have been identified: (a) the presentative-deitic/"eureka" voilà, which has a basic ostensive value; (b) the structuration marker voilà, which is used along with other marks in local or global transitional phases; (c) the agreement marker voilà, which is characterized by its reactive position in exchanges. These three usages share some of their features, and they represent three core meanings in the interactional functioning of the particle.Cette étude de la particule voilà dans une réunion de travail entre architectes repose sur une analyse des activités verbales et gestuo-graphiques des interactants, à partir d'un enregistrement vidéo. La prise en compte de différentes ressources mises en œuvre par les participants et l'attention accordée à la dimension temporelle dans laquelle s'ancrent les usages de tels petits mots dans la gestion interactive du flux conversationnel conduisent à dégager trois emplois : un voilà déictique-présentatif / eurêka, à valeur fondamentalement ostensive ; un voilà marqueur de structuration, attesté dans les phases de transition locale ou globale ; un voilà exhibant l'accord, caractérisé par sa position réactive. Ces trois usages, qui partagent certains de leurs traits, constituent trois valeurs polaires pour le fonctionnement interactionnel de la particule
